Siam Iron & Steel Co. Ltd. In Thailand joins the list of SIFC and Nitrex users
At the end of 2002 SvMet Engineering and the Siam Iron & Steel Co. 2001 signed an agreement of technology transfer and implementation of SIFC and Nitrex processes for the production of SBQ steels in Thailand.
SISCO in Thailand, a member of the Millenium Steel Group realized that it was necessary for this group to enter new markets in Thailand. Therefore SvMet Engineering and SISCO decided to start this new venture. The project required that SISCO purchased and installed a new Stopper Rod system for the casting machine. This was done at the end of 2003 by the supplier VAI.

Due to the special characteristics of SIFC of special version for ultra-low superheat the SWRH 82b grade reduced its segregation levels and allowed for lesser degree of break-up in the final drawing operation at SIW [Siam Industrial Wire]
